I recently purchased a car from this garage and my experience was disappointing. I dealt with Sam, who made many promises but offered little help when issues arose. Communication was full of back-and-forth and unclear explanations.
We asked for blacked badges and were told it couldn’t be done, then later quoted nearly £1,000 for something that costs far less if sourced directly from Volvo. The day before collection, we were told we had to leave a “£500 ransom” until the V5 arrived — something never mentioned before. When we finally collected the car, we were promised a full tank of petrol, but there was not even half a tank.
Overall, the process was stressful and poorly managed. Better honesty, transparency, and clear communication would have made a huge difference.

I'd recommend Waylands Reading because I have just bought my second new Volvo and everything went smoothly. Great communication and very helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

I recently collected my Volvo XC60 from Volvo Cars Reading and I am extremely pleased with the whole experience.
Sam has been excellent from start to finish and has truly gone above and beyond. He supported me throughout the entire process and made everything feel smooth and well organised. He was always professional, approachable, and happy to help with any questions I had.
During the handover, Sam carefully explained every new feature in the vehicle and clearly highlighted the differences between our previous XC90 model and the new XC60. He took his time to make sure I understood everything and felt completely comfortable before leaving. I really appreciated the patience and attention to detail he showed.
I also want to thank Sam and the wider team for their flexibility. I have a busy schedule, and they were very accommodating and supportive in arranging timings that worked for me. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
I could not have asked for a better experience. The service I received confirms that I made the right decision to continue my journey with Volvo.

I'd recommend Waylands Reading to anyone because after a terrible experience with another volvo dealer we left completely let down and almost didn't want to continue and actually buy a volvo anywhere at another dealer because of the terrible customer service. On a last chance of one more go, we came to waylands and we met Jim
Who from start to finish made the whole experience enjoyable and exciting again. His help and knowledge allowed us to walk away with a fantastic car.
The service was fantastic and put my faith back into Volvo, well definitely into reading waylands!

I'd recommend Waylands Reading to anyone because they were more than helpful, but you do need to be quicker on responding to queries. Still waiting on service plan info despite a couple of chases.
